For the “Personal Logo” project that I completed at California State University San Marcos, I designed a second personal logo involving type and illustration. The second personal logo was a square with a tilted “W” inside it. Like the first personal logo, the typeface for the “W” was Futura. Below the graphic was my initials “WLB” in the typeface Futura. The text and illustration was adjusted using the Perspective Distort tool from Adobe Illustrator. The full color version was green and blue. The logo was inspired by the 1994 WETA-TV Washington D.C. logo. My instructor from CSUSM was impressed by the logo because he liked the inventiveness of the design and the perspective distort effect.
